Rose Quartz and Amethyst

Rose quartz is a type of quartz that exhibits a pale pink to rose red hue. The colour is usually considered due to trace amounts of titanium, iron, or manganese in the material. The use of rose quartz is said to date back as far as 7,000 B.C. It’s also been claimed that Egyptian and Roman women used rose quartz face masks to clear their

complexions and prevent wrinkles. The second quartz I used is Amethyst. Amethyst occurs in primary hues from a light lavender or pale violet to a deep purple. The meaning of amethyst varies from time to time and culture, which is why amethyst has always been a very popular stone throughout human history.

For this long necklace, I created a pendant from a rose quartz chunky(approx 30mm) bead and 5 lines drop with beads of rose quartz and amethyst. The Calla lily carved from Rose Quartz is a flourishing statement.  For the necklace, I used mainly Rose quartz in different shapes and Amethyst in different shapes and hues.

Rose Quartz and Amethyst complement each other on every level.
