Jade and Citrine
Jadeite is one of the two minerals referred to as Jade which is a pyroxene crystal. Jadeite has been sought after from ancient ages till this day. It had a significant role in ancient civilisations like the Aztecs and Maori as an enchanting charm and symbolising power.
Jadeite stands out because it is made of sodium and aluminium silicate and has a beautiful range of colours, from apple green to purple, yellow, blue, black, and white. The royal green version is the most pursued among the other colours. Natural white Jadeite is often dyed in different and vibrant colours. A good quality Jadeite has a vibrant, translucent appearance, similar to honey held up to the light, and a smooth texture. It is believed that Jadeite can harmonize inner energies and promote emotional healing and hence it’s a favourite amongst the crystal enthusiast cycles.
It is also believed that the combination of Jade and Citrine can attract success in prosperity.
I have combined these beautiful aqua-green Jadeite beads with large chunks of citrine, carved jade beads and tiny black tourmaline beads to interact with the different colours on the diagonal amazonite beads. I have created a pendant from Jadeite only beads and drops.
